Discover more via our website. Your next career opportunity In this Infection Control Officer role, you will drive infection prevention and AMR surveillance across Victoria and beyond. You will support cutting-edge public health research and deliver IPC training and capacity building across the Asia-Pacific . You will collaborate with government and WHO partners, translating evidence into policy, guideline s and real-world practice. What you will deliver: Provide expert IPC and AMR advice to support Vic torian Department of Health surveillance, policy and outbreak responses. Design and deliver IPC training, mentoring and capacity building programs for regional partners across the Asia-Pacific . Develop and update IPC policies, guidelines, education resources and communication materials for varied health and community settings. Collaborate within multi-disciplinary Doherty Institute teams to achieve project milestones and contribute to public health impact. Lead or support research activities, including data collection, ethics documentation, governance submissions and project reporting. You may be a great fit if you: Hold Division 1 Registered Nurse qualification with extensive experience in infection prevention and control practice. Demonstrate deep understanding of IPC principles, including surveillance and management of multi-resistant organism cases in complex environments. Bring practical experience as an infection control consultant, providing advice across diverse clinical and /or community settings. Design and facilitate training workshops and mentoring for IPC capacity building, ideally including experience in low-resource settings. Apply strong analytical and organisational skills to manage concurrent projects, meet deadlines and produce high-quality reports. Use standard software, including the Microsoft Office suite, to support documentation, data management and professional communication. For further information please refer to the attached PD.
