Job Title Senior Claims Consultant, UW&C Services, Protection, Australia Job Description The Role The primary responsibility is to deliver high quality claims expertise and value add to Australian insurers. The role will be working with clients to provide technical expertise across all products in the form of assessment, support and staff development where required. This role will also require the consultant to assist PLRA build and support a claims proposition for the market that meets both client needs as well as being consistent with PLRA’s strategic focus. Duties Assessment of Life Insurance Claims across all products for Retail and Group cover. This includes all internal and external stakeholder management. Client service: Drive delivery of high-quality service to clients including: Strong individual performance against client Service Level Agreements Credible technical support and activities consistent with client plans Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders Develop both technical and personal skills to a high level Provide support to the Claims Manager on all claims related issues. Assisting CM achieve team and company goals as well as individual performance standards and objectives Assist with the development of PLRA’s profile and brand in Australia and internationally. Qualifications & Experience Previous Claims Management experience working in a Life (Re)insurer for at least 2 years Background in allied health, occupational therapy, or psychology. Experience handling claims for all major AU products including Life cover, TPD, Critical Illness and Income Protection Experience managing non disclosure cases and dealing with legally represented claims Typical completion of or progression towards the Claims diploma Good working knowledge of Life & Disability Insurance industry regulations Good working knowledge of life & disability claims practices Working For Pacific Life Re Every person in our global team is valued for the unique qualities they bring to our business and we seek to build their expertise and support their individual ambitions at every step.
