ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced 2x Asphalt Supervisors to join a leading civil infrastructure contractor in the roading and infrastructure sector, based in Mackay or Townsville, QLD. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team delivering large-scale road pavement works. Responsibilities: Supervise and manage asphalt paving crews on-site to achieve project targets and deadlines. Lead, motivate, and support teams to maintain productivity and quality workmanship. Plan and coordinate labour, materials, and plant to ensure efficient asphalt operations. Communicate daily with crews regarding tasks, production targets, and safety requirements. Liaise with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. Monitor and enforce WHS standards and safe work practices at all times. Oversee asphalt plant coordination, laydown operations, and equipment performance. Ensure correct compaction, levels, and finishing standards are consistently achieved. Requirements: Certificate IV or Diploma in Civil Construction, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred). 7 years of experience in asphalt paving and road construction, including supervisory roles. Strong hands-on knowledge of asphalt laying, rolling, and finishing techniques. Relevant licences/tickets (White Card, driver’s licence; roller/paver tickets highly desirable). Solid understanding of WHS requirements and risk management in civil construction. Proven leadership, communication, and organisational skills in a fast-paced environment.
