Our client, a Commonwealth government agency , is seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner (APS6) to join a small, high‑impact corporate team. This role provides high‑level HR advice to leaders and staff while contributing to the delivery of contemporary people practices across the organisation. You will operate as a trusted partner, managing complex HR matters, supporting workforce initiatives, and ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processes. Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice on a wide range of HR matters including recruitment, performance, employee relations and case management Deliver and support end‑to‑end payroll activities, ensuring compliance with legislation, enterprise agreements and internal procedures Partner with business areas to interpret and apply HR policies within the APS framework Support workforce planning, change activities and continuous improvement initiatives Contribute to the development and review of HR policies, procedures and practices About You To be successful, you will bring: Demonstrated experience as a HR Business Partner within the APS or a similar public sector environment Proven payroll experience (essential), with strong attention to detail and compliance Sound knowledge of APS legislation, enterprise agreements and HR frameworks Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to handle sensitive and complex matters Excellent written and verbal communication skills What’s On Offer APS6 salary range 15.4% superannuation Flexible work arrangements and supportive team culture Opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a purpose‑driven government agency Ongoing or non‑ongoing options considered Please reach out to Maryane Bogovic maryane.bogovic@hudson.com to express your interest.
