ABOUT THE ROLE CEACW Pty Ltd trading as Bakers Delight Springfield Orion is currently seeking a skilled and motivated full-time Qualified Baker to join its production team. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, producing, and presenting high-quality bakery products in accordance with company standards, customer demand, and food safety requirements. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Preparing and baking a wide variety of breads, rolls, pastries, savoury products, specialty loaves, and other bakery items. Measuring, weighing, mixing, kneading, fermenting, and proofing dough in accordance with established recipes and production schedules. Operating bakery machinery, ovens, mixers, and related equipment safely and efficiently. Monitoring dough consistency, fermentation processes, proving times, baking temperatures, and product quality throughout production. Preparing pastry fillings, toppings, glazes, and decorative finishes for baked goods. Coordinating bakery production activities including forming, loading, baking, unloading, cooling, and packaging products. Maintaining high standards of food safety, workplace hygiene, and cleanliness in all preparation and production areas. Monitoring ingredient stock levels and assisting with ordering bakery supplies where required. Maintaining and cleaning bakery equipment, utensils, and workstations to ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Assisting in training, supervising, and mentoring junior staff and apprentices where required. Working collaboratively with team members to consistently meet daily production targets and customer expectations. SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Applicants must hold either: A Certificate III in Baking (or equivalent relevant qualification) together with at least one (1) year of relevant full-time post-qualification bakery experience; or A minimum of three (3) years of full-time relevant commercial baking experience in lieu of formal qualifications. SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS SHOULD ALSO DEMONSTRATE: Strong practical knowledge of commercial baking methods and dough production techniques. Sound understanding of food handling, food safety, and hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
