The company is recognised for its precision process control, colour anodising expertise, and purpose-built facility in Wetherill Park, supporting clients across construction, transport, marine and defence sectors. Akarma Industries is currently seeking a highly organised and experienced Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational support functions of the busy Wetherill Park facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating office services, supporting staff performance, maintaining records and compliance systems, and ensuring the smooth running of internal business operations. This is a pivotal position within the organisation, requiring strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage diverse office functions ranging from payroll and compliance to procurement, reporting, and general administration. Qualifications and Experience A Diploma or higher qualification in Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline. Three years of relevant experience may substitute for the qualifications. At least one year of relevant work experience in an office management or administration role, preferably within manufacturing, industrial operations, or a similar environment. Demonstrated experience in supervising staff and managing day-to-day office operations. Familiarity with payroll, financial reporting, and compliance in a small-to-medium business setting. Strong computer literacy and experience with office software, records systems, and administrative processes. Key Responsibilities Plan, review, and improve office services to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with business standards. Establish office service standards and set priorities aligned with production and operational requirements. Allocate human resources, space, and equipment to meet operational needs. Supervise, assign tasks, and monitor staff performance in administrative functions. Manage office records, financial accounts, and compliance documentation. Coordinate payroll, timesheets, and employee entitlements. ·Liaise with suppliers, contractors, accountants, and external stakeholders to support business operations. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety obligations in office and workplace settings. Oversee procurement and maintenance of office equipment, supplies, and administrative tools. Support recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and workforce planning activities. Maintain accurate data and reporting systems for operational, administrative, and compliance requirements. Develop and implement administrative policies, procedures, and work systems to align with company requirements and relevant legislation. Skills and Attributes Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage staff. Excellent organisational and time-management abilities. Sound knowledge of office management practices and compliance frameworks. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with professionals and external stakeholders.
