Job Purpose BBC Studio’s Brands and Licensing division manages BBC’s leading global and multi-format brands; and is responsible for commercialising this portfolio of global and emerging brands beyond broadcast, including licensed consumer products, brand licensing and partnerships, gaming, live events and publishing. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role supports the delivery of the local marketing strategy and plans for our key brands (including Bluey, Doctor Who, BBC Earth, Top Gear & Hey Duggee), involving the planning and implementation of brand and marketing activities to deliver growth, brand reach and business targets in territory. Scope and Impact The purpose of the role is to support the Brands and Licensing Marketing Team in delivering on global and local objectives The role focuses on assisting with the development and implementation of activities identified in local plans for the growth of Brands in market Assist in being the driving force for the brands and associated businesses in territory, as well as a key conduit between and support for, the central brands team in London Must be flexible and work across a range of genres, across all media (irrespective of their area of expertise) and in line with the wider business needs Audience and customer focus is critical to the success of our business and fundamental to all brand communications. As such it is essential to develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the brands target market and the broader media market This role has no direct reports. Accountabilities Support with the delivery of consumer and trade-facing campaigns and marketing activities, including drafting briefs, preparing project documents and compiling stakeholder feedback Assist with on-boarding new partners with brand guidelines and approval processes Provide feedback and approvals for licensees and partners’ marketing activity and materials in line with brand guidelines Assist with the preparation of presentations and materials for meetings Manage and update global and local planning calendars and documents Assist with the development of promotional materials and assets Share information and updates between Global and Local Brand Teams Administrative duties including managing marketing materials and inventory, raising Purchase Orders and payments, coordinating meetings, travel etc. Knowledge, Skills And Education Competent & confident in all main computer packages, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Planning and excellent attention to detail First rate communication and strong interpersonal skills essential Ability to draft critical time paths and reports and record minutes of meetings Excellent organisational skills, demonstrating ability to work on several projects at one time. Resourcefulness, creative thinking and problem solving Good team worker and first to offer support to others when under pressure. Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external stake holders.
