Successful applicants will contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials. This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.47FTE), 36 hours per fortnight. About The School Burpengary State Secondary College is a progressive Independent Public School located north of Brisbane, catering for students in Years 7-12. About The Role Duties will include but not limited to: Provide assistance to teachers and students with class material preparation, including cutting timber, plastic and metal to size for class sets. Undertake maintenance of machinery, including oiling machinery, changing blades, keeping a maintenance register. Act as storeroom manager to keep track of the material store and ensure the smooth transition of new material arriving, including storing of materials and preparing and allocating to workshop classes. Provide support to the Head of Department and teachers by undertaking miscellaneous duties, including painting, creating tool boards, and replenishing stock in classrooms. Research, contact and order from suppliers approved by the Head of Department. Other duties as directed by the Head of Department, Leadership Team and Business Manager.
