The Opportunity This is an 8-month maternity leave cover opportunity for an experienced Talent Acquisition leader to step into a pivotal role supporting a busy and diverse recruitment function. You will lead a small, capable team while overseeing end-to-end recruitment across a mix of high-volume pipelines, early careers programs and specialist engineering roles. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, providing clear advice on talent availability, workforce planning and recruitment strategy, while ensuring hiring practices remain efficient, compliant and consistent. The Role Lead and oversee the Talent Acquisition function to deliver high-quality, compliant and efficient recruitment outcomes on a fixed-term basis. Lead, coach and support a small Talent Acquisition team Oversee end-to-end recruitment across volume, early careers and specialist roles Partner with senior leaders to provide recruitment advice, market insights and workforce updates Manage external recruitment suppliers and support reduced agency reliance Ensure recruitment practices align with Fair Work, NES and workforce screening requirements Oversee major pipelines including apprenticeships and engineering work experience programs Maintain quality assurance across advertising, selection, interviewing and documentation Provide reporting on recruitment metrics including time to hire, cost per hire and pipeline risks Contribute to workforce planning discussions with data-led insights The Ideal Person You are an experienced recruitment professional who is confident stepping into a leadership role within a fast-moving environment. Ideally, you bring experience in internal recruitment, or a combination of internal and agency recruitment, giving you a strong understanding of both strategic partnering and delivery execution. You are comfortable guiding stakeholders, managing competing priorities and leading a team through busy recruitment cycles. You take a practical, solutions-focused approach and understand how to balance compliance, efficiency and candidate experience. This role will suit someone who is adaptable, calm under pressure and motivated by making an immediate impact.
