Role Description This is a part time role (.5FTE or .6 FTE) located in the Greater Adelaide Area for an Occupational Therapist interested in mental health conditions and growing their skills and specialization in working with clients who have various mental health presentations. Therapie offers clients assessments and interventions using an OT flavoured CBT approach, helping clients with mental health conditions and chronic / complex pain presentations. You will undertake assessments and therapeutic interventions provide comprehensive reports, and collaborate with referrers (GPs and others) for clients referred by GPs, support co-ordinators and others. work under guidance and processes of Therapie be familiar with NDIS and Medicare referral pathways and interventions have Mental Health endorsement from OTA, or be willing to work towards this under Supervision. You will gain regular supervision and guidance in your work a supportive environment for your development and growth in this practice area You will have: a passion for work in mental health practice an interest in learning and working to broaden skills and experience in the mental health private practice setting including Medicare referrals an interest in evidence based CBT interventions and how to incorporate this in OT interventions Some past experience undertaking assessment, treatment planning, and intervention Strong Communication skills Experience or interest in working with diverse client populations Relevant registration and certifications to practice as an Occupational Therapist Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and adapt to varied client needs Valid driver’s license, with the flexibility to conduct off-site and home-based sessions in own vehicle as required
