We are seeking a permanent Radiographer who is looking to take the next step in their career or for a new graduate looking for an exciting opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art Cath Lab. Working alongside a team of highly skilled cardiologists and vascular surgeons; you will gain highly sought after skills and experience. While previous experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab is not essential, you must possess a genuine passion to want to work in this specialty area. To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have the flexibility to be rostered across a variety of shifts including on-call work as required. To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following: Use license in Angiographic and Interventional Fluoroscopy (minimum requirement) and a willingness to complete relevant competencies to be approved for an Unrestricted Use license in Angiographic and Interventional Fluoroscopy (desirable) Radiation safety officer (desirable) or the ability/willingness to train as a Radiation Safety Officer The Person Strong emphasis will be placed on your ability to demonstrate the organisations values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment, as well as your ability to commit to and apply these values in the workplace. Key Selection Criteria Tertiary qualification in Medical Imaging Technology (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Current Queensland Radiation Use Licence for Medical Radiation Practitioners or the ability to obtain Proven ability to perform high quality medical imaging diagnostic examinations using specialised equipment, including fluoroscopy Demonstrated ability to provide clinical services of a complex and varied nature as well as the application of high-level clinical expertise Previous cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional radiography experience within a Cardiac Investigations Unit (Cath Lab) (desirable but not essential) Advanced ability to effectively communicate, share information & work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary health team High attention to detail to ensure documentation is current, accurate, timely and maintains patient confidentiality How to Apply Please submit the following: A cover letter that addresses the ‘Key Selection Criteria’ (maximum 2 pages) A detailed resume (including 2 professional referees) Submit your application on our website https://thefriendlies.org.au/careers/ and complete the Application for Employment form.
