Chef / Cook – Job Duties Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu requirements Plan menus and estimate food and labour costs Ensure food is prepared in a timely and consistent manner Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation Monitor food stock levels and place orders when required Store food safely and ensure proper food handling procedures Supervise kitchen staff and assist in training junior cooks (if applicable) Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use Manage portion control and minimise food wastage Assist in developing new recipes and menu items
