The impact you’ll have: Behind every well-managed strata scheme is a finance team making sure the numbers are accurate, compliant, and ready when clients need them. As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll help prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, support tax obligations, and provide reliable information to Strata Managers and clients. What you’ll do: Prepare monthly, interim, and year-end financial statements for strata clients. Produce balance sheets, income and expenditure reports, cash payment reports, and debtor statements. Reconcile financial accounts using both cash and accrual-based accounting. Produce accounts receivable invoices and maintain accurate financial records. Support BAS preparation, annual tax return work, and compliance requirements. Coordinate audit requirements and respond to financial enquiries from Strata Managers. What you’ll bring: To succeed from day one, you’ll bring Around 1 – 2 years’ experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or finance role. Exposure to reconciliations, financial reporting, or transactional accounting. A sound understanding of basic accounting principles (cash vs. accrual). Strong attention to detail and confidence working with financial data. The ability to manage recurring deadlines without losing accuracy. Clear communication skills when explaining financial information to non-finance stakeholders. Helpful, but not essential: Experience in strata, property, or multi-entity accounting. Exposure to BAS or tax processes. Experience with accounting systems such as TechnologyOne.
