Job Description The Opportunity We have an opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable Project Engineer - Electrical to join our Projects team based at our Head Office near the Perth Airport. The Role The Project Engineer - Electrical will provide discipline specific engineering support for the feasibility study, development, scoping, estimating, design, delivery and commissioning of network upgrade projects. Also assist in the execution of assigned project duties in a safe, efficient and reliable manner to the agreed requirements on time and to budget. You will; Deliver a portfolio of electrical, signalling, and capital works projects to upgrade and maintain the rail network. Manage contracts, suppliers, consultants, and subcontractors in line with commercial agreements and statutory requirements. Collaborate with construction teams to ensure safe and effective project delivery on site. Provide technical expertise and advice to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Support the Project Lead in financial management, including cost estimation, budgeting, and managing variations. Develop, review, and continuously improve project documentation, frameworks, procedures, and standards. Undertake engineering activities across all project phases, including concept design, studies, delivery, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and closure. About You To be successful in this role you will: Have demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity, with strong organisational skills and consistent, clear communication with stakeholders. Have a minimum 3 years’ experience in engineering roles, preferably as a Project Engineer or in similar project delivery environments Hold a Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (essential) Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Have proven technical aptitude and a proactive approach, with the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
