Role Purpose The Supply and Distribution Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the end-to-end supply, storage and distribution functions of NEXTRACK LOGISTICS PTY LTD. The role exists to ensure goods are received, stored, controlled and dispatched efficiently, safely and in accordance with business requirements, customer expectations and applicable workplace obligations. It contributes directly to service performance, inventory accuracy, cost control and operational continuity. This position supports the organisation’s objectives by developing and maintaining effective supply chain processes, monitoring stock and distribution activities, coordinating with internal teams and external service providers, and driving continuous improvement across logistics operations. The role also carries responsibility for maintaining compliant and efficient practices consistent with Australian workplace standards and sound operational governance. Key Responsibilities Plan, implement and monitor supply, storage and distribution activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective movement of goods across the business. Develop and maintain inventory control processes to support required stock availability while minimising excess stock, shrinkage and avoidable carrying costs. Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations, including receiving, warehousing, order fulfilment, dispatch scheduling and delivery performance monitoring. Review stock levels, inventory records and storage systems regularly to maintain accuracy, traceability and operational efficiency. Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, warehouse personnel and internal stakeholders to ensure service levels, delivery timeframes and operational requirements are met. Negotiate and monitor supplier and service arrangements, including pricing, service quality, lead times and delivery outcomes, in line with business needs. Prepare operational reports on inventory status, freight performance, service issues, cost trends and key logistics metrics for management review and decision-making. Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods. Monitor compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company policies, and relevant operational procedures across warehouse and distribution activities. Identify operational risks, supply disruptions, stock variances and process inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner. Work collaboratively with management and operational teams to support workforce planning, workflow coordination and service improvements. Analyse logistics and distribution data to identify opportunities for process improvement, better resource utilisation and improved customer outcomes. Support audits, internal reviews and record-keeping requirements by maintaining accurate documentation relating to stock movements, suppliers, freight and operational controls. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen service reliability, operational performance and compliance outcomes across the supply chain function. Assist in the implementation of systems, tools and process enhancements that improve visibility, reporting accuracy and overall distribution efficiency. What We Are Looking For (Requirements) Minimum one (1) year of relevant work experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing, inventory control or distribution management. Relevant qualification at Certificate IV, Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Management or a related discipline. Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse, inventory and distribution processes, including stock control, dispatch coordination and supplier or transport liaison. Sound understanding of workplace health and safety obligations, operational compliance and record-keeping requirements within an Australian business environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret operational data and support informed business decisions. Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across operations, administration, suppliers and service partners. Proficiency in relevant business systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and inventory or logistics management platforms.
