The Role Our client is seeking a Community Development Officer to support engagement and community development outcomes for first peoples. In this role, you will lead reconciliation initiatives, provide strategic advice, and deliver culturally respectful community development programs. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of reconciliation plans and strategies. Provide high-level advice on trends, issues, and opportunities affecting First Peoples at local, state, and national levels. Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with First Peoples communities, organisations, and key partners. Coordinate consultation and advisory processes involving First Peoples Develop tools, guidance, and policy input to support culturally respectful engagement across the organisation. Plan and deliver community development programs, initiatives, and events, including managing budgets and timelines. Identify and manage external funding opportunities aligned with community wellbeing and resilience. Support improved employment, training, and procurement opportunities for First Peoples within the organisation. Maintain accurate records and contribute to positive customer service outcomes. Essential Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant demonstrated experience in a similar role. Current Queensland Driver’s Licence (or ability to obtain). Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or ability to obtain.
