We are currently seeking experienced Disability Support Team Leaders to join our compassionate and dynamic team. The Team Leader is responsible for day‑to‑day operational leadership across allocated SIL houses, with a current focus on supporting up to six upcoming participant transitions in Edgeworth. The role ensures safe, compliant and person‑centred service delivery while supporting staff performance and stability during growth. You will work closely with an Area Manager, who will provide training, guidance, and support to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained. About the Role: As a Disability Support Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include: Provide on‑site leadership across SIL houses, including new transition environments. Support and oversee participant transitions, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. Lead, coach and supervise support staff, including performance oversight and issue escalation. Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, Restrictive Practices and internal policies. Monitor incidents, risks and safeguarding requirements and address operational issues early. Support rostering effectiveness, handovers and continuity of care. Provide hands-on support for participants, including meal preparation, personal care, administering medication, and assisting with daily activities. About You: To thrive in this role, you will bring: A minimum of 1 year of experience in supervising or leading a team of disability support workers. Experience supporting individuals with a range of disabilities, including mental health, dementia, Psychosocial, and challenging behaviors. Previous experience working across multiple group homes or SIL houses. Proficiency in basic Excel for creating weekly reports. A Certificate III in Disability (or similar/higher qualification). Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with both participants and team members. Empathy for the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and a commitment to Person-Centered Practices. Organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A NSW Driver’s License (or equivalent) and access to your own car is desirable. Why Maxlife Care?
