Position Purpose The Group Training Manager is responsible for leading the operational delivery and Growth of Apprenticeship and Traineeship programs across Harness RTO and GTO operations, ensuring high-quality learner support, stakeholder engagement, workplace coordination and compliant program administration. The role oversees the end-to-end management of Apprenticeships and Traineeships, including mentoring (including SAS-funded Apprentices/Trainees), employer engagement, workplace monitoring, and all functions associated with funded and non-funded delivery. This includes responsibility for enrolment and eligibility validation, funding and evidence compliance, Training Contract and Training Plan coordination, progression monitoring, funding claim readiness, and maintaining audit-ready learner files in accordance with state funding contracts and ASQA requirements. The position plays a key role in the growth of Harness SAS funded qualifications and Apprentice & Trainee division. Key Responsibilities Program Delivery, Mentoring & Traineeship Management Lead the coordination and delivery of Apprenticeship and Traineeship programs across Harness RTO and GTO operations. Provide structured mentoring and ongoing support to Apprentices/Trainees, including SAS-funded participants, to maximise retention, progression and completion outcomes. Support Apprentices/Trainees to identify career pathways, set goals and overcome barriers to successful completion and employment. Manage complex or sensitive learner and employer matters and facilitate practical, compliant outcomes. Act as the primary point of contact for Apprentices/Trainees and Employers throughout the program lifecycle. Oversee all Workplace Training Operations Coordination activities associated with Apprenticeships and Traineeships. Validate enrolment, eligibility and funding evidence prior to enrolment approval, including AISS, LLND/PEA, concession, residency, identification and employer documentation. Ensure no learner progresses to enrolled status without full compliance validation. Liaise with Apprenticeship Network Providers to manage Training Contracts, Training Plans and endorsement processes. Maintain accurate, complete and audit-ready learner files across the full lifecycle. Verify completion and funding claim readiness prior to certification or completion submission. Monitor ongoing compliance including participation evidence, ERA currency, intervention records and Training Plan updates. Stakeholder Engagement, Industry Presence & Growth Build and maintain strong relationships with New and Current Employers, Apprentices/Trainees, industry partners and internal stakeholders. Work closely with the National Sales Director, Account Managers and recruitment team to align workforce demand and candidate placement. Attend school expos, careers events and networking opportunities to promote Harness pathways and programs. Participate in industry consultation to align training solutions with workforce and client needs. Support business growth by identifying opportunities to expand Apprenticeship and Traineeship programs. Compliance, Audit & Site Management Conduct regular site visits to workplaces to support Apprentices/Trainees and ensure program quality. Complete workplace safety checks in line with legislative and organisational requirements. Maintain accurate records of site visits, engagement, progress and outcomes. Support audit processes, compliance reporting and funding contract readiness. Identify compliance risks and escalate appropriately. Ensure all records and confidential information are maintained in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements. Promote and uphold child safety principles and the wellbeing of young people at all times. Continuous Improvement & Operational Leadership Contribute to the improvement of systems, processes and workflows across training and compliance functions. Identify opportunities to enhance retention, completion rates and service delivery quality. Support strategic initiatives relating to workforce development, training delivery and operational performance. Provide leadership across GTO/RTO coordination and administration activities. General Responsibilities Be flexible in working hours to meet operational requirements. Travel across Queensland is an essential requirement, including regional and remote locations. Undertake additional duties as reasonably required to support business objectives. Qualifications & Experience Essential Experience within a GTO, RTO, Apprenticeship Network Provider or employment services environment. Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management capability within Apprenticeship/Traineeship programs. Experience managing end-to-end Apprenticeship and Traineeship delivery. Strong administrative and compliance capability, including funding, enrolment and audit processes. Strong understanding of traineeship compliance requirements and learner file management. Experience with government-funded training programs (e.g. DESBT, SAS or equivalent). Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability. High-level written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational, problem-solving and time management skills. High attention to detail and ability to manage compliance documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant systems (e.g. aXcelerate or similar). Desirable Qualification in Training and Assessment, Business, Education or related field.
