ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join a well-established civil contractor delivering complex infrastructure projects across New Zealand. This role will support small to large infrastructure bids across sectors including water, civil, marine, and structures, working within a dedicated pre-contracts team. Main Duties: Lead the end-to-end bid process, including EOIs, tenders, and detailed submissions. Develop bid strategies, methodologies, and key submission themes. Manage bid programmes, ensuring all inputs are coordinated and deadlines achieved. Lead and mentor a small bid team (2–3 direct reports). Collaborate with estimators, engineers, bid writers, and clients. Review commercial, contractual, and risk aspects of submissions. Ensure all bids are compliant, accurate, and professionally presented. Report directly to senior leadership. Requirements: Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Construction, or a related discipline. 10 years’ experience in civil construction, project delivery, or pre-contracts. Demonstrated experience managing bids for infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of construction methodologies and contract frameworks. Proven ability to assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks. Experience across infrastructure sectors such as water, civil, marine, and structures. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational capabilities. Candy (CCS) experience is advantageous. Benefits: Competitive salary package: $180K–$200K (negotiable based on experience).
