The Role With an exciting period of growth underway, a dynamic senior leadership team, and some of Australia’s most iconic fashion brands in our portfolio, we are seeking a highly motivated, organised, and solutions-focused Store Development Project Manager to join Austin Group. Based in Malvern and reporting to the Head of Marketing this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced project manager with a strong background in retail fit-outs, construction, or store development. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects end-to-end, and brings a balance of commercial acumen, attention to detail, and stakeholder management expertise. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in delivering key store development projects across our network during an exciting phase of growth and investment. You will lead the delivery of new store openings, refurbishments, relocations, and minor works across our national retail network, ensuring projects are executed on time, on budget, and in line with brand standards. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Lead and manage end-to-end store development projects including new stores, refurbishments, relocations, and minor works Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and scope to ensure successful delivery Act as the central point of contact between internal stakeholders and external partners including shopfitters, designers, landlords, and centre management Oversee all project documentation, drawings, approvals, and compliance requirements Source, negotiate, and manage contractors and suppliers to achieve optimal cost outcomes Monitor on-site progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard Manage store handovers to ensure readiness for merchandising and trade Identify and resolve defects and outstanding works post-completion Coordinate concession and wholesale site requirements including approvals and design guidelines Manage landlord, council, and regulatory approvals, permits, and compliance Coordinate logistics for fixtures, furniture, signage, and fit-out assets across projects Drive cost efficiencies through supplier negotiation and sourcing strategies Support ad hoc store design, procurement, and project initiatives across the business You will have: Proven experience managing retail fit-out, construction, or store development projects Strong understanding of shopfitting, retail environments, and store design processes Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication and stakeholder management skills A commercial mindset with experience managing budgets and negotiating with suppliers A proactive, hands-on, and solutions-focused approach and ‘can do’ attitude Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Acrobat) Why join us?
