Draughtsperson / Coordinator Inner North, Adelaide Full-time IMPartners is recruiting on behalf of a growing specialist business in the glass, glazing and aluminium framing space. Up to 2 roles available. We are looking for practical, detail-focused people who can turn project scope and estimating information into accurate drawings, coordinated job information and production-ready documentation. This is not just a desk-based drafting role. It sits between estimating and delivery and plays a key part in getting jobs properly documented, approved, ordered and ready to move into manufacture without avoidable delays, errors or rework. You may come from drafting, glazing, aluminium systems, estimating support, building, site supervision or a similar technical construction background. What matters most is that you can read project information properly, think practically, stay organised and help move work forward in a controlled way. What the role involves You will prepare shop drawings, client approval drawings, fabrication drawings and related documentation for glass, glazing and aluminium framing work. You will also coordinate the approvals, finishes, samples, materials and job setup activities needed to move projects from estimating into production readiness. The role works closely with estimators, project managers, suppliers and factory teams, so it suits someone who is comfortable joining technical accuracy with day-to-day coordination and follow-through. Key responsibilities Prepare accurate and practical drawing packages based on take-offs, project documentation, specifications and internal job information Revise and update drawings in a timely and controlled way Identify discrepancies, missing information and scope conflicts early Coordinate approvals, finishes, samples and supporting documentation before production release Support powder coating coordination, colours, finishes and supplier communication Assist with material ordering in line with approved drawings and job requirements Help track variations, drawing changes and documentation updates Maintain version control, records and traceable job documentation Work across estimating, office, suppliers and production teams to support clean job handover What we are looking for Experience in drafting, construction coordination, glazing, aluminium framing, building or a similar technical role Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and project documentation accurately CAD experience is required V6 experience is preferred but can be taught Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple active jobs A practical mindset and the confidence to raise issues early Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with internal teams and suppliers Candidates with a trade, builder or supervisor background who understand technical drawings and construction documentation are encouraged to apply Why this role stands out This is a role where your work directly affects job flow, production readiness and delivery quality.
