Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to their our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry works across residential new builds and renovation projects. This role requires a strong background in domestic carpentry , with a focus on framing and structural work. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions, and installation procedures Ordering and selecting timbers and materials, and preparing layouts Cutting materials, and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts Erecting framework, panelised systems, and roof framing Laying sub-flooring and floorboards and verifying trueness of structures Installing fascia panels, roof sheathing, external wall cladding, and door and window frames Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready for installation Cutting and assembling wood joints Constructing concrete formwork where required Repairing and maintaining existing structures and fittings Working with a range of materials Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised worksite at all times Supporting general construction and site activities as required Requirements (Non-Negotiables) Qualified Carpenter (AQF Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent) Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience Proven experience in residential/domestic carpentry only (no commercial or industrial background) At least one contactable employer reference Good English communication skills (candidate and reference must be able to communicate effectively) Strong ability to read and interpret plans and work independently Reliable, with a strong work ethic and good moral character Preferred age range: 20–40 years old Preferred Skills / Bonus Specialisation in framework carpentry (highly preferred) or 2nd fix carpentry Demonstrates independence and responsibility (e.g., living independently) Positive attitude and strong team fit aligned with company values What We Offer Competitive salary: AUD $80,000 – $85,000 per annum Stable full-time employment with a reputable local builder Opportunity to work on diverse residential construction and renovation projects Supportive and respectful team environment Strong focus on quality workmanship and long-term growth How to Apply Please submit your updated CV along with at least one employer reference.
