The role of Volunteer Coordinator plays a critical leadership role in developing, managing, and enhancing our Northern Sydney Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme volunteering programme. This position ensures that volunteer service aligns with HammondCare’s mission and strategic priorities while recruiting, onboarding and supporting volunteers. This is permanent position 2 days per week based at St Leonards. Hybrid opportunities. This position will require you to travel around Northern Sydney, you will need access to a car and a driver's licence as travel throughout the region is an expectation of the role. There is a travel allowance for this role. Work closely with managers, pastoral care teams, and healthcare professionals to integrate volunteer support Represent HammondCare in sector networks, forums, and community engagement initiatives Communicate with patients/residents/clients to identify their needs for volunteer engagement Operational Excellence & Service Delivery Oversee data management systems to track volunteer participation and impact. Monitor and evaluate service effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance volunteer contributions to residents, patients, client care. About You Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action Experience in volunteer coordination or program management in healthcare, aged care, or community services Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and develop a team and effectively work with other staff High-level administrative, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel and Database Management Strong conflict resolution skills Passion for working in aged care or health (I think this is a must) is desirable Empathic and compassionate Strong knowledge of volunteer management principles, compliance, and risk management - preferred Experience in delivering training to volunteers - preferred Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a diverse team of volunteers - preferred To Apply If you are ready to make a difference with HammondCare, Apply Now!
