About the role: As a Senior Broadcast Technologist, you’ll be the guardian of our on‑air reliability and studio performance. You’ll keep studios, production environments and streaming services operating smoothly, jump on faults fast, and drive a proactive maintenance rhythm so issues are found and fixed before they impact listeners. You’ll also own clear, accurate documentation whenever infrastructure changes, and partner closely with IT to keep our broadcast computer systems and user devices supported. In this role, you will: Keep studios on‑air and issue‑free: Respond to and resolve technical malfunctions and operator issues across broadcast and streaming equipment, prioritising studio uptime and production continuity. Run a disciplined maintenance program: Adhere to and improve preventative maintenance schedules for all broadcasting and technical equipment in line with quality standards, policy, and priorities. Document with precision: Record additions, changes and configurations to broadcast and studio infrastructure clearly and accurately so the team can support and scale confidently. Support broadcast systems end‑to‑end: Provide hardware and software support for broadcast computer platforms and IP‑based audio systems, ensuring stable, secure and well‑configured operations. Build and maintain the backbone: Install and maintain infrastructure and cabling across studios and the data centre facility to best‑practice standards. Radio transmitter sites Protect signal integrity: Monitor transmission signals and fail‑safe systems to ensure the continuous, effective operation of radio transmitter sites. Stay ahead with preventative care: Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on technical equipment and transmitter buildings in accordance with quality standards, policy, and priorities. IT collaboration Solve user issues together: Work closely with the IT team to provide hardware and software support for computers, diagnosing and resolving user issues efficiently and professionally. About you: 5 years experience of AM/FM/UHF & STL radio transmission systems, infrastructure, monitoring and best practices Radio production infrastructure and operational knowledge. Ideally both analog and IP based. Infrastructure and cabling installation experience. Excellent time and project management skills. Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal. You love deep diving into systems, perfecting documentation and installations. Technical related knowledge and experience in commercial broadcasting.
