Full Time Cook / Chef We are seeking an experienced and passionate Full time Cook/ Chef to join our talented kitchen team at Shagun Indian Restaurant in Katoomba, NSW. As a full-time Cook / Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious, high-quality Indian/Nepali cuisine for our customers in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment. What you'll be doing Planning menu, Food preparation and cooking. Maintaining a high standard of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standard. Friendly customer service. HACCP compliance, food safety procedures and OH&S regulations. Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff during food preparation and service to endure smooth operations. Manage the flow of Kitchen Operations. Participating in inventory management and ordering of kitchen supplies Oversees portion control, presentation, and consistency of quality of dishes. What we're looking for Minimum 1-2 years' experience as a Cook/Chef , preferably in an Indian restaurant or similar Minimum Cert III and IV Commercial Cookery & Diploma of Hospitality Management. Strong knowledge of Indian and Nepali cuisine, flavours and cooking techniques Excellent organisational and time management skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Passion for delivering exceptional customer service Basic understanding of OH&S regulations, food safety and HACCP compliance.
