This role reports to an exceptional Regional Financial Controller known for their strong track record in mentorship and staff development, offering excellent opportunities for growth. Based in stylish, modern CBD offices, the role also offers flexibility, with the option to work from home 1 to 2 days per week once you’re established in the position. The Role Responsibilities will include: Year-end close, quarter-end close and monthly close in accordance with US GAAP & Corporate Policies Support the Financial Controller and other Business Leads in the budgeting and forecasting process and analysis of variances for events Ensuring accuracy in revenue and profit and that information is available for senior management at all times Provide management reporting for decision making – trend, variance & sensitivity analysis. Ability to communicate with senior and non-finance staff to understand the drivers impacting event performance. Focus on revenue, billing, receivables collections and credit control of events and projects across the region. Focus on cost control and profitability of events, projects and the wider business. You will enjoy being a business partner working with key stakeholders to understand their numbers. Your Background To be considered for this Senior Accountant role you will need to have: A relevant tertiary qualification (CA/CPA not essential for this one!) Strong P&L and Balance sheet experience and the ability to work autonomously on the month-end Have held a senior position in the finance team where junior members of the team have come to you for assistance Excellent communication skills to engage with the non-financial stakeholders in the business This is not a job for someone who likes sitting behind their desk crunching numbers.
