About Us! The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) was founded in 1877 and is one of Australia's leading beef cattle companies, managing over 6.1 million hectares, largest single herd in the world and home to Five Founders Beef. About the role Reporting directly to the Feedlot Operations Manager, you will be joining the team as a Feedlot Hand. This role will support the operations in a variety of tasks, primarily around driving feed truck, maintenance, and machinery operation. Day to day duties include : Driving the feed truck to deliver feed to cattle Operating loader to load commodities into the feed truck Maintenance work consisting of pen cleaning, pen maintenance and general feedlot maintenance Operating steam flake mill facilities Maintaining mill areas and commodities shed in a clean and hygienic state Record mill activities, data entry and daily monitoring of feeding Ideally the successful candidate will have/be: A current manual driver's license Experience in machinery operations (loader, bobcat, prime mover, side tipper, excavator) and associated qualifications will be highly regarded but not essential Must be able to work in a team Feedlot experience not required, training will be provided Good verbal communication skills and be reliable, honest and a hardworking with a willingness to learn.
