The Role As Centre Director, you will lead a brand-new, mid-sized early learning service, catering for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. You will guide a team of Educators to deliver high-quality, play-based learning experiences that extend beyond the National Quality Standards (NQS). This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be actively involved in shaping culture, establishing systems, and building strong foundations for long-term success. Your responsibilities will include: Leadership & Culture Build a positive, respectful, and high-performing team culture from the ground up. Team Development Recruit, guide, and mentor educators to grow capability, confidence, and practice quality. Family Engagement Establish strong, trusting relationships with families through communication, visibility, and consistency. Operational Leadership Oversee daily operations, compliance, and service quality with strong organisational support. Service Growth Support enrolment growth and build strong community presence and reputation. What’s on Offer Competitive salary: Up to $125K base (DOE) super KPI bonus Quarterly incentive program Ongoing professional development and career progression Supportive and collaborative culture Sector networking opportunities About You We are seeking an experienced early childhood leader who brings: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Centre Director or equivalent role Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) Strong understanding of EYLF, NQS, and compliance frameworks Proven ability to lead teams with clarity, structure, and presence Calm, emotionally intelligent leadership style Strong relationship-building skills with families and teams Experience managing budgets, enrolments, and operations Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis (or willingness to obtain) Valid WWCC and National Police Check An understanding of Reggio Emilia principles is highly regarded but not essential.
