TRS Resourcing is currently recruiting for an experienced and trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join a busy civil and industrial workshop. This position is best suited to a self-motivated tradesperson capable of working independently across a varied fleet of heavy vehicles and specialised equipment. Position Overview In this role, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a mixed fleet of civil plant and heavy vehicles. Work will be carried out both in the workshop and onsite, covering scheduled servicing, fault finding, and breakdown support. Key Duties Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on heavy vehicles and civil plant Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Work on specialised equipment, including: Vacuum trucks (NDD / hydro-excavation) High-pressure jetting units Pumps and associated systems Complete preventative maintenance and compliance servicing Respond to breakdowns and perform urgent repairs as required Accurately record maintenance and service activities Identify potential issues and implement corrective actions Communicate with internal teams to ensure equipment reliability Maintain a safe and clean working environment Required Experience Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Heavy Vehicle Mechanic role Experience working on trucks, civil machinery, and mobile plant Solid understanding of vacuum systems, jetting equipment, and pumps ( essential ) Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision Reliable and safety-focused work ethic Licences & Qualifications Relevant mechanical trade qualification Current driver's licence ( HR preferred ) White Card Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing Benefits Secure, full-time position Competitive remuneration package Modern, well-maintained equipment Supportive team and management structure Exposure to specialised civil equipment Opportunity for long-term career progression Why Join TRS Resourcing?
