We are engaged to support their growth through the appointment of experienced Site Supervisors to strengthen on‑site leadership and safety performance across live construction environments. The first contractor has a strong background as a subdivision specialist and is now expanding into larger‑scale infrastructure and major road projects. Current works include significant transport and road upgrades in Melbourne’s north‑east, with a strong focus on road interfaces, freeway widening and complex civil construction activities. The second contractor is a well‑established, mid‑tier civil construction business delivering a range of road and civil upgrade packages across the north and west. These works include intersection upgrades, road safety improvements and localised infrastructure enhancements within active urban environments. Both roles offer the opportunity to join well‑structured project teams and play a hands‑on supervisory role, with strong ownership of site safety, program delivery and day‑to‑day construction outcomes across high‑profile civil projects. Key Responsibilities Supervise day‑to‑day site activities to ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements Lead daily pre‑starts, toolbox talks and on‑site safety discussions, setting clear expectations for crews and subcontractors Actively manage high‑risk construction activities including excavation, mobile plant and traffic interfaces, structures, utilities and pavement works Ensure site operations comply with WHS legislation, project standards, traffic management requirements and company procedures Identify hazards and unsafe behaviours on site, taking immediate corrective action where required Support incident, near‑miss and hazard reporting, including investigations and implementation of corrective actions Coordinate closely with engineers, safety advisors, subcontractors and delivery teams to maintain safe and productive work fronts Review, implement and enforce SWMS, JHAs, permits and risk assessments to ensure controls are understood and followed About You Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor on road, transport or infrastructure projects Strong understanding of WHS obligations from a supervisory perspective, including implementing controls and enforcing safe systems of work Trade or industry qualification relevant to civil construction (e.g. Cert III / IV in Civil Construction, Plant Operations or equivalent experience) Current White Card, with tickets such as Traffic Management (TM/TMI), plant competencies and First Aid desirable Ability to confidently lead site crews and subcontractors in live traffic and high‑risk construction environments Practical, solutions‑focused communicator able to address issues on site while maintaining productivity Proven ability to manage multiple work fronts, changing conditions and tight programs while maintaining safety and quality Why Apply?
