HSE Coordinator (FIFO) Location: Wagga Wagga – FIFO from Brisbane FIFO: 3/1 Roster The Role The HSE Coordinator will support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental systems on a transmission line project. Working on a FIFO 3/1 roster, this role ensures compliance with Australian WHS legislation, promotes a positive safety culture, and supports operational teams to achieve safe and efficient project delivery in high-risk civil construction environments. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and maintain HSE systems in line with Australian WHS legislation and project requirements Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and verify SWMS/JSEAs compliance Support high-risk transmission line activities including working at heights, mobile plant, lifting, traffic management, and live services Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and pre-start briefings; maintain training and competency records Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and close-out of corrective actions Promote a strong safety culture through visible field leadership and engagement Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, KPIs, and site-specific HSE plans Support internal and external audits and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications & Experience: Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum) Construction White Card Minimum 2yrs experience in a WHS role, in construction, infrastructure, civil or energy Understanding of Australian WHS legislation and standards Willingness to work as part of a FIFO construction team Consultant sophie.thwaites@coretalent.com.au Reference number: BH-24986 Profession:CivilHealth, Safety & Environment Company: Core Talent Date posted: 26th Feb, 2026
