About the role The Data Office is the central hub for managing, protecting, and maximising the value of TFA’s data, enabling better decision-making, transparency, and customer outcomes. There are currently 5 cross functional teams / squads in Data Office. The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) will play a key role in supporting data-driven initiatives within the Data Office, working across discovery, delivery, and validation. The role requires strong collaboration with business stakeholders and cross-functional data teams to ensure high-quality, well-defined, and actionable data requirements that enable trusted insights and seamless integration with front-end/domain initiatives. This is a 12-month contract based in Sydney. How you'll make an impact Elicit, analyse, and refine business needs into clear user stories and data requirements Define and document data requirements, business rules, and data mappings Interpret and analyse data models, data flows, and datasets to support solution design Conduct data mapping and support integration activities (e.g., legacy to new datasets, financial data transitions) Prepare integration specifications and ensure alignment across systems and platforms Collaborate closely with stakeholders and delivery teams including Scrum Masters, Architects, Data Engineers, BI Analysts, Data Scientists, and QA Partner with Architects to ensure requirements are clear, unambiguous, and consumable by both technical and non-technical audiences Support data validation, testing, and quality assurance activities to ensure accuracy and integrity Contribute end-to-end across Data Office initiatives, including reporting and analytics requirements Participate actively in PI Planning to align priorities, dependencies, and delivery outcomes Cross-collaborate with BAs, PMs, and domain teams to ensure seamless integration between front-end initiatives and data solutions Manage and engage multiple stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and expectation management Focus Areas Data discovery, analysis, and delivery across initiatives Data modelling, mapping, and integration Data validation, quality, and governance considerations Supporting analytics, reporting, and data platform use cases Enabling high-quality, trusted data for business insights Your attributes Proven experience as a Business Analyst in data-driven environments Strong ability to translate complex data concepts into clear and actionable business requirements Hands-on experience with data mapping, integration specifications, and data migration activities Solid understanding of data structures, data flows, and business rules Experience working across the data lifecycle, including data quality and governance principles Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical teams Ability to context switch effectively across discovery, delivery, and validation phases Demonstrated collaboration with cross-functional data teams including engineers, analysts, and scientists Desirable: Experience working with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to shape AI/ML requirements Familiarity with BI/analytics tools and data visualisation best practices Experience in financial services, accounting, treasury, or risk domains Exposure to SAP environments Background in business intelligence and analytics Life at Toyota & What we offer you We pride ourselves on a work culture that supports and rewards people.
