Your role will be pivotal in leading, coordinating and supervising E&I teams, ensuring all activities are delivered in accordance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and Wood’s HSE and quality standards. In addition, your responsibilities will include: Coordinate E&I Activities: Plan, schedule and supervise Electrical and Instrumentation works, including cable installation, terminations, testing, commissioning support and shutdown activities, in line with project scope and timelines Team Leadership: Lead and support a diverse crew of tradespeople, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work environment. Project Delivery: Monitor progress, manage resources, and ensure timely completion of E&I scope, including piping installations for various fluids and gases Safety & Quality Assurance: Uphold Wood’s rigorous safety standards, conducting risk assessments and ensuring adherence to quality control processes Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with project managers, clients teams to align on objectives and resolve technical challenges Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials, and compliance, contributing to project reporting and close-out documentation Your dual focus on both project execution and relationships will be essential. Anticipating client needs beyond the immediate scope, you will drive delivery and take the lead across multidiscipline teams, while working in close partnership with other Wood offices and the client, to add value to the project portfolio. Expected: You will be an Australian citizen or be eligible to hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia. Safety Focus: Deep commitment to HSE principles, with experience in risk management and safety compliance Qualifications: Electrical trade certificate (Cert III/IV) or Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical preferred) Experience: 5 years in E&I coordination or supervision, with proven experience in energy projects. Familiarity with large- and small-scale piping installations is essential Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of E&I systems, including installation, testing, inspection and maintenance Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive performance in high-pressure environments Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders Mandatory Certifications & Licences Bachelor of Engineering or Electrical Trade Cert (Cert III/Cert IV) EEHA – valid within 3 years WA Electrical Workers License CPR/LVR – valid within 3 years Provide First Aid – valid within 3 years BOSIET/T-BOSIET or FOET/T-FOET CA-EBS – valid within 4 years MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card) Escape Chute – valid within 4 years (desirable) Swagelok (Desirable) – valid within 3 years Desirable: What will set you apart will be your proven experience success at delivering a schedule driven project in a similar superintendent role within the Australian Onshore Resources Industry (Mining / Oil & Gas / Heavy Industrial) sector. Relevant exposure to major process plant project delivery in remote locations will also be advantageous.
