About the Opportunity The implementation and application of Systems Engineering methodologies is a core requirement of this role. You are expected to deliver outputs that meet Austal’s standards through the consistent application of a structured Systems Engineering approach. Ø Manage the engineering change process. Support Verification and Validation activities Ø Support the creation and maintenance of Acceptance Test Procedures and Functional Tests. Apply SE methodologies to produce accurate data and documentation, which meets all procedural and auditable requirements. Ø All Data & Paperwork is stored appropriately and controlled. Ø Demonstrates a high attention to detail. Ø Work produced is of a high quality and consistent with relevant standards. Support creation and delivery of Client deliverables Ø Support technical deliverables to achieve system acceptance. Support continuous improvement activities related to SE tools and processes – e.g. CAD, PLM, ERP. Foster a strong security culture across the organisation, supply chain and customer environment, including training and education delivery. You’ll Need Essential Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or ability to obtain CPEng Strong stakeholder management capability Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to explain complex concepts to non‑technical audiences Ability to triage and resolve complex problems Ability to maintain an effective and efficient engineering environment 8 years’ experience in Systems Engineering or related field Demonstrated leadership experience managing direct reports Experience delivering complex projects with maturity and technical depth Proven Systems Engineering application, including change management and continuous improvement Practical experience in requirements management and design traceability Commercially astute experience using PLM tools Desirable Experience working in complex project environments Experience in quality assurance and business improvement processes Experience working within a design team Membership with SESA or INCOSE Why Join Us?
