About the role We are currently looking for an Associate / Senior Associate (4 years’ PQE) to join our Commercial practice group to work alongside Partners Jessica Reid and Michael Taylor-Sands. Our commercial team acts for listed and private Australian and international developers and investors, and assists them in establishing and documenting property procurement and delivery structures (eg the structuring and negotiation of joint venture arrangements, sale and subscription of securities, and service agreements), and entry into and exiting projects, as well as a range of BAU work. This role is an opportunity to work on challenging and diverse transactions, both specific to property development as well as general commercial M&A and BAU work. About you You may already be working in this space, be a general commercial lawyer looking for a property transaction sector speciality, or be in a property team and looking to move into a role where you can utilise your strong property transaction knowledge and drafting skills in a more commercial setting. In order to be successful in this role, you will have at least 4 years PQE alongside: Strong advisory, drafting and negotiation skills Experience preparing and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements from inception through to completion Ability to provide commercially astute, logical and sound advice Excellent communication skills; ability to deal with a diverse range of clients in different industries/backgrounds Ability to effectively build external and internal relationships Supervising and mentoring junior members This is a fantastic time to join our Commercial group and develop your expertise whilst working as part of a larger team that is supportive and provides great career progression.
