Description Lead Veterinarian (12-Month Maternity Leave Cover) – MyVet Springfield Lakes | QLD MyVet Springfield Lakes is seeking an experienced and confident Lead Veterinarian to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, commencing August 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior veterinarian to step into a leadership role within a supportive, community-focused clinic, while also mentoring junior team members and contributing to a positive and collaborative culture. In this role, you will: Deliver exceptional care to patients in close collaboration with a skilled team Conduct regular consultations and perform routine surgeries Mentor and support a new graduate Veterinarian, fostering their growth and development Take a leadership role in clinic operations, guiding and inspiring team members and contributing to strategic decision-making Collaborate with the team to streamline processes and drive efficiency, ensuring the best possible patient outcomes Build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and become a valued part of the local community Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in veterinary medicine About you BVSc (or equivalent) with current registration in Queensland 5 years’ clinical experience, confident in both consulting and surgery Previous leadership experience or a strong desire to step into a lead role Comfortable with sole charge (weekend roster) Strong communication skills and a commitment to high standards of patient care Passion for mentoring and supporting junior veterinarians A collaborative and positive approach to team culture Why join MyVet Springfield Lakes?
