21st April, 2026 We’re looking for an experienced Senior Security Engineer – Networking to join our team, reporting to the Technical Services Manager. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex problems, leading technical outcomes, and acting as a trusted advisor to customers. You’ll be responsible for the design, stability, and continuous improvement of enterprise networking and security environments, while also leading complex incident resolution and mentoring engineers across the practice. What you’ll be doing Provide Level 3 support across networking and security technologies, including complex incidents and major outages Lead root cause analysis and drive permanent fixes to prevent recurring issues Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network environments (routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, SD-WAN) Monitor system health, perform patching, and manage lifecycle activities across infrastructure Analyse logs, telemetry, and performance data to identify risks and improvement opportunities Contribute to secure network architecture design aligned to industry best practices Identify and implement automation, standardisation, and process improvements (DevOps-aligned where possible) Deliver network changes in line with ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management processes Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, clearly communicating solutions and outcomes Mentor junior engineers and contribute to documentation, runbooks, and knowledge sharing What we’re looking for 6 years’ experience in networking, infrastructure, or security engineering within enterprise or managed services environments Strong experience operating as a senior engineer or technical lead on complex networking initiatives Deep expertise across enterprise networking (routing, switching, wireless, and data centre environments) Hands-on experience with: Palo Alto (Firewalls, Panorama, Prisma Access) Cisco networking (Catalyst, Wireless, SD-WAN) Cisco ISE and 802.1X access control Experience supporting hybrid and enterprise-scale environments Exposure to automation, scripting, or DevOps practices Strong understanding of ITIL-aligned service management Nice to have Relevant certifications (Cisco, Palo Alto, cloud networking) ITIL Foundation certification Tertiary qualification in IT, Engineering, or related field About CyberCX CyberCX is the leading provider of cyber security and cloud services across Australia and New Zealand.
