Synergie Australia is seeking a Frauds & Scams Officer for o ne of Australia’s most established and trusted financial institutions, located in Parramatta. The important parts: Pay: $40–$45 per hour Super | ⏳ Duration: 12-month contract with a strong pathway to permanent employment Hours: Monday–Saturday, rotating roster between 8:00am–8:00pm | 38 hrs per week Training: Onsite for 4 weeks Flexibility: Hybrid working arrangements available based on successful performance following training What you will be required to do: You’ll handle 20–30 calls per day, managing inbound cases with empathy and precision while supporting broader fraud prevention strategies. This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact in safeguarding people and their finances. Manage inbound calls related to fraud and scam investigations Conduct detailed case reviews, gather evidence, and liaise with internal teams to escalate and triage. Identify fraud patterns to prevent future financial loss Maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks and internal policies Recommend process improvements to strengthen fraud detection measures Training will be provided over approximately 3-4 weeks Attend in office for the first 6 months of employment, with potential to transition to a hybrid working arrangement based on performance outcomes. The Frauds and Scams team operates 24/7, 365 days per year.
