Engineering Surveyor – Civil Construction | Flagstone A well-established civil contractor is seeking an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join their team on a major civil infrastructure project in Moreton Bay Area . This is a strong opportunity to join a supportive site team, with the chance to step up into an Engineering Surveyor role from a Survey Technician background . About the Role You will be responsible for delivering accurate engineering surveying services across active civil construction works, supporting project delivery through set-out, measurements, and quality assurance. Key Responsibilities Site set-out for civil works including roads, drainage, earthworks, and services Conduct as-built surveys and maintain accurate survey records Data capture, processing, and verification of field information Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and project teams Operate surveying equipment such as Total Stations and GPS systems Ensure works are completed in line with design drawings and project specifications Support QA/QC processes across site activities Skills & Experience Sound understanding of surveying principles, methodologies, and best practices relevant to civil construction projects Demonstrated experience delivering field survey tasks on active worksites, including set-out, data capture, as-builts, and QA/QC processes Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical skills applied to calculations, data handling, and design verification Proven ability to manage workload, maintain focus under pressure, and prioritise tasks across multiple work fronts Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and digital models for field survey operations Experience using CAD and survey software including Trimble Access, Trimble Business Center (TBC), AutoCAD, and 12d High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, SharePoint) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with engineers, supervisors, and construction teams Strong planning and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving site issues What’s on Offer $100,000 – $140,000 Super Long-term opportunity with a reputable civil contractor Supportive team environment with mentoring available Opportunity to step up from Survey Technician into Engineering Surveyor role Major ongoing civil development project Apply Now Please apply if you are currently in Australia and have relevant civil surveying experience.
