The Purpose: The Partnership Manager within the AP Commercial Team is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of strategic partnerships to drive long-term transaction growth and revenue. The role focuses on aligning partner objectives with AP business goals to achieve broad adoption, high partner engagement, and sustained commercial success. This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne. Responsibilities of the role will cover the following key areas: Deliver against transaction and revenue targets across the entire AP product suite, while maintaining high levels of member engagement Build strong strategic partnerships across all levels within the client’s organisation, with a key focus on facilitating consultative selling discussions. Work collaboratively and effectively within the Commercial team and across the AP group. Develop robust strategic account plans to drive continued growth and adoption across each relationship. Proactively identify actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth. Build compelling value propositions that meet customer needs. Build trusted partnerships with clients, becoming the key point of contact between partners and AP. Effective use of a CRM system to manage information, knowledge, and data about AP strategic relationships to support effective engagement across AP. Develop, negotiate and manage commercial proposals and contract management to deliver business outcomes. The skills & knowledge you need to have: Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within a similar industry. Proven track record in negotiation, managing proposals, stakeholder relationships, and strategic sales initiatives. Payments experience, preferably within a Bank, Acquirer and/or PSP capacity, would be highly regarded. Strong understanding of sales processes, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning. Familiarity with the financial and payments industry, investment appraisal, benefits management, and demand analysis methodologies.
