Overview This role sits within Future Land Warfare (FLW) at Army Headquarters and supports the development and execution of The Army Plan through strategic planning, analysis, and campaign management. Working within an integrated team, the position links high-level strategic direction from the Strategic Centre to Land Force Design and Army programs, ensuring alignment across capability priorities and outcomes. The role is focused on concept development, structured analysis, and the delivery of high-quality briefs and decision-support products, enabling senior leadership and Army Board decision-making. This is a capability and strategy-focused role, not finance-heavy, with exposure to Defence frameworks and the broader Integrated Investment Program context. Key Details Skill Level: L3 Environment: Army Headquarters – Future Land Warfare Focus Area: Strategy, Concepts, Campaign Management Work Arrangement: Onsite (with some flexibility for remote work) What You'll Be Doing - Support development of campaign management approaches for The Army Plan - Conduct strategic analysis and contribute to Service-level Strategic Plans - Prepare briefs and decision-support products for senior stakeholders - Contribute to Land Force Design outputs and capability planning - Support conceptual product development (Functional Concepts, etc.) - Coordinate reporting and documentation of strategic activities - Engage stakeholders across ADF, APS, and industry - Provide input to working groups and forums - Support formatting and publication of outputs What You'll Need - Experience in military concepts, strategy, or capability analysis - Understanding of Joint Concepts Framework and Defence Strategy Framework - Experience with ODCS / Defence Capability Life Cycle - Knowledge of Defence requirements development - Exposure to IIP and Defence financial/procurement frameworks - Strong briefing and documentation skills - Stakeholder engagement experience - Background in project management or systems engineering (desirable) - Advanced Microsoft Office skills
