We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead to join a fast‑paced delivery team within the banking industry on a contract basis. In this role, you will provide technical leadership across solution design and delivery, with a strong focus on GitHub‑based development workflows and MongoDB. You will work closely with engineering teams, stakeholders, and partners, including experience gained on large‑scale platforms to deliver secure, scalable, and high‑quality solutions. Description Provide hands‑on technical leadership across design, development, and delivery of software solutions within a regulated banking environment Lead development teams using GitHub for version control, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and quality governance Design, implement, and optimise MongoDB solutions, including schema design, performance tuning, and data model changes Drive and oversee changes to MongoDB databases to support evolving business and application requirements Partner with architects, product owners, and delivery leads to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and business outcomes Guide and mentor developers, promoting best practices in clean code, testing, security, and documentation Support production issues and lead root‑cause analysis, ensuring system stability and continuous improvement Contribute to delivery planning, technical estimation, and risk management in a contract delivery setting Profile A successful Tech Lead should have: Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Engineer within large‑scale, complex environments Strong hands‑on experience using GitHub, including branching strategies, pull requests, and automated pipelines Solid expertise with MongoDB, including hands‑on experience implementing and modifying data models in production system Experience delivering solutions within the banking or financial services industry, with an understanding of regulatory and security requirements Strong problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and influence technical decisions Job Offer Competitive daily rate Chance to lead a talented team on impactful technology projects.
