About the role Xavier 8 North is a surgical ward, supporting patients across specialties including orthopaedics, plastic surgery, urology, and gynaecology. Deliver specialised post-operative care for patients following elective and emergency procedures, including those transferred from ICU after complex surgery or trauma. Evidence-based nursing care to people of all ages and diverse cultural backgrounds, including individuals, families, and communities. Develop and apply essential surgical nursing skills to ensure patient safety and continuity of care from admission through to discharge. Work collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary team while also demonstrating autonomy and clinical independence in practice. About you Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency. Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team using effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in your daily practice. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
