Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Deckhand to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating in high-pressure, commercial maritime environments. Key Responsibilities: Fishing Operations: hauling nets Catch Processing: Sorting, cleaning,icing bins, and refrigerating catch to maintain high quality. Vessel Maintenance: Routine maintenance of deck equipment and safety appliances. Maintaining a clean vessel Safety & Operations: handling rope/net, and operating mooring equipment during berthing. Minimum Requirements (Essential): Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent, full-time, relevant Australian experience as a deckhand or fishing hand, evidenced by a signed sea-time logbook. Certifications: Must hold safety and rescue certificates compliant with the International Convention on Standards, Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers 1978 (STCW). First Aid: Valid First Aid certificate (awarded within the last 12 months). English Proficiency: IELTS overall score of 4.5 (or equivalent) for 482 visa (for international candidates).
