We’re looking for experienced, qualified Fitter Welders, for complex service work across the Bulk Handling and Timber Processing industries, on mobile and static plant across industrial sites. Role is to weld, fit, fabricate, troubleshoot, commission, diagnose, repair, and support equipment to keep customers operations running. This company will take you to the next level in your career. Key Responsibilities: Mechanical Assembly & Disassembly Expert ability to assemble, strip down, align, and re‑assemble complex machinery (gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, etc.) while working to tight tolerances. MIG welding & basic fabrication for repairs and modifications Drawing & Specification Interpretation Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and OEM specifications — and translating them accurately into hands‑on work. Fault Finding & Problem Solving Strong diagnostic skills to identify mechanical failures, wear issues, misalignment, or breakdowns, and implement effective, safe fixes under pressure. Measurement & Alignment Proficiency using measuring tools such as verniers, dial indicators, laser alignment tools, and torque equipment. Maintenance & Repair Expertise Experience across preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance — including bearings, seals, shafts, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment. Safety Awareness & Compliance Understanding of workshop and site safety: lock‑out/tag‑out, permits, confined spaces, lifting practices, and compliance with H&S regulations and procedures. Ideal Candidate Trade-qualification Proven shutdown / outage experience Strong safety culture (permits, isolations, JSA/JHA) Ability to work hands-on in tough industrial environments Submit your CV outlining your welding experience.
