A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced editor to join RAC’s Content team and help lead its next chapter. As the Editor, Publications and Brand you’ll set the editorial agenda for Horizons across print, web and email , shaping stories that inform, inspire and reflect life in WA. You will work alongside a team of creative specialists to grow audience engagement across the RAC content ecosystem. What will you be doing? Driving the editorial agenda for Horizons across print, website and eNews, aligned to RAC’s Enterprise Content Strategy Creating compelling, locally relevant content by working closely with internal and external subject matter experts and staying on top of WA travel and motoring trends Leading end‑to‑end production of the print magazine, leaning on a network of writers, designers, producers and suppliers Supporting digital growth , managing and editing content for the Horizons website, including commissioning, writing, publishing and optimisation, with the support of the Content team Collaborating with channel owners for YouTube, Podcast, social media and email to amplify topics and deepen reader engagement across the Horizons ecosystem Maintaining an integrated editorial calendar across print, web and eNews Managing supplier contracts and relationships ensuring high-quality production and timely distribution of the print publication. Consulting and communicating effectively with internal stakeholders Championing audience insights and feedback to guide editorial direction and opportunities Contributing to team workshops and planning sessions Supporting with budget management, performance tracking and reporting What are we looking for in you? Extensive experience in journalism , editorial content or related field Passion for engaging audiences through storytelling Strong understanding of content production processes and digital publishing best practice Experience with print publishing highly regarded Excellent time management and confidence working to firm deadlines Strong stakeholder management skills with a collaborative mindset Adobe suite skills and experience using website CMS beneficial Personal interest or professional experience in motoring and/or WA travel highly beneficial What can we offer you?
