The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and passionate Dental Veterinarian to join our dedicated clinical team. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who has a strong interest or advanced capability in small animal dentistry and is motivated by making a meaningful difference in a community‑focused environment. You will work with modern dental equipment, a highly skilled nursing team, and a collaborative veterinary group that values best‑practice medicine and continuous learning. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental examinations and treatment planning Deliver a broad range of dental procedures including prophylaxis, extractions and advanced oral surgery (experience dependant) Interpret dental radiographs and maintain accurate clinical records Work collaboratively with veterinary nurses and colleagues to ensure optimal patient outcomes Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, compassion and animal welfare Support and mentor team members where appropriate About You BVSc or equivalent qualification, with current registration (or eligibility) in Victoria Level 3 Veterinarian with 3-4 years’ experience Demonstrated experience and confidence in small animal dentistry A genuine passion for high‑quality patient care and animal welfare Strong communication and teamwork skills Alignment with Lort Smith’s not‑for‑profit, community‑focused values Membership or progression toward ANZCVS (Dentistry) is highly regarded but not essential.
