Job Description

Diplomatik are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our busy Manufacturing client in Kewdale.

The hours of work are 6am-2.06pm casual ongoing, with the potential to transition into a permanent position and the hourly rate is $65.57 per hour plus penalties

Responsibilities:

Promptly carry out repairs, servicing and maintenance of manufacturing plant and associated equipment with minimal supervision.
Undertake non-structural welding repairs.
Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and instructions, in particular safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
To work as part of a team committed to implementing the principles and philosophy of customer service and quality products.
Maintain tooling for pressing and shearing operations.
Carry out fault finding and diagnostic analysis, including overhaul, of plant and equipment, as necessary.
Be available to enact repairs or maintenance in the event of breakdowns outside normal hours.
Ensuring manufactured products meets tolerances.
Contributes to the team environment by performing other duties as required.

Essential:

Demonstrated experience in similar role in similar industry.
Good technical knowledge of Manufacturing or Production processes.
Good Communication Skills and Problem Solving.
Trade qualification

Desirable:

Trade Qualified Fitter
Forklift ticket
Confined spaces ticket
EWP ticket
