Role: M365 Specialist - Purview & Data Security Day Rate: $900 - $950 Super Contract Length: Initial contract until 18 Dec 26 (high chance of extension) Location: Macquarie Park/WFH Flex (3 days on site) We're partnering with a large enterprise delivering a Data Resilience Program, seeking a hands-on M365 Specialist to lead the uplift of data security, classification, and governance across Microsoft 365. This is a high-impact role focused on identifying and protecting sensitive data at scale, with Microsoft Purview experience absolutely critical. The Role You'll act as the technical lead across M365 security & compliance, driving discovery, classification, and control implementation across SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange Online. Working within a structured program, you'll help design and implement practical, scalable controls that reduce risk without impacting business productivity. Key Responsibilities Configure and optimise Microsoft Purview for sensitive data discovery across M365 Implement sensitivity labels, auto-labelling, and DLP policies Design and deploy retention policies and data lifecycle controls Build secure SharePoint environments for highly sensitive data Deliver reporting dashboards and insights on data risk and policy effectiveness Support pilot rollouts, tuning, and transition to BAU operations About You Strong hands-on M365 security & compliance experience Deep expertise in Microsoft Purview (non-negotiable) Proven experience with: Sensitivity labelling & Information Protection Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Retention & data lifecycle management Experience across SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online Ability to translate technical findings into practical remediation actions Strong stakeholder engagement across technical and business teams Experience designing secure collaboration environments SharePoint provisioning automation Exposure to file share scanning / cross-platform data remediation If this sounds like YOU, then please APPLY today!
