Your New Role As a Member Portfolio Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in helping AustralianSuper deliver meaningful change for members by supporting portfolio planning, prioritisation and delivery across the Member Domain. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Portfolio Planning, you’ll work closely with sponsors, initiative owners, subject matter experts and enabling teams to assess, shape and progress initiatives through the Member Portfolio. You’ll bring strong business analysis capability to support discovery, define requirements, assess impacts and ensure initiatives are set up for success. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, delivery and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on collaboration, value‑based decision making and simplifying how we operate to deliver better member outcomes. Key responsibilities include: Supporting Member Portfolio Planning activities, including backlog management, triage and prioritisation Managing the domain backlog, engagement hub and front‑door processes Supporting initiative assessment, discovery and prioritisation using data‑led frameworks Partnering with initiative owners to develop clear problem definitions, business cases and benefits Conducting high‑level business analysis, including documenting business, process and information requirements Supporting portfolio reporting, impact assessments and change governance Contributing to efficiency, simplification and standardised ways of working across the Member Domain Building trusted relationships with stakeholders across the Fund to enable successful delivery What You’ll Need 5 years working in a general Business Analysis Strong experience in superannuation operations essential Extensive experience in business analysis, ideally within superannuation or financial services Strong understanding of portfolio, initiative and change management practices Demonstrated experience eliciting, analysing and documenting business and process requirements Proven ability to engage, influence and manage senior and cross‑functional stakeholders Experience supporting discovery initiatives, business cases and benefits realisation Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills Ability to work across multiple initiatives, prioritise effectively and operate with a risk‑aware mindset Relevant tertiary qualification and/or formal training in Business Analysis Life at AustralianSuper AustralianSuper is committed to colleague development, and we support our people with ongoing learning, coaching and training, as well as career opportunities across our expanding global organisation.
